$115,000 - $140,000 a year

 

The Director of Accounting and Finance reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Executive Team. She/he will be responsible for the oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities.

The Director of Accounting and Finance is a team leader who can provide timely and accurate financial data and analysis, including financial statements, budgets, trend analysis and billing reports, and who can develop a staff. The Director will lead all day-to-day accounting and finance operations and supervise a team of 6 staff members. He/She will ensure systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and flawless audits. The Director will work closely with directors and their staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations. Solid experience coordinating, managing and reporting budget development and analysis, accounts payable/cash disbursements and billings and receivables, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments. In addition to overseeing accounting and finance, the Director will oversee accounts receivable/payables, payroll, information technology, and grants administration.

Education: Bachelor's (Required)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Required)
License: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), courses, or work towards furthering education. Valid Ca License (Required)

 

Fraud Management

The mission of Fraud Management is to identify suspicious buyer/seller and merchant activity, validate attempted fraud, and protect us from losses. Partner with Risk Management, Credit Specialists, Customer Service, and Loan Servicing to improve fraud identification and escalation. Frequently calibrate fraud activity with Risk and Analytics to identify trends (such as Synthetic Identities) and enhance prevention measures. Identify and implement new products in our application process which identify additional fraud at the point of sale. Improve effectiveness of fraud detection practices to reduce false-positive rates.
Recent and Upcoming Key Initiatives:
Partnering with VP of Operations, Risk & Analytics, Technology, Merchant Underwriting, and Customer Service to automate verification processes, reducing cost sales cost. Partnering with Risk and Analytics on creating income verification process for point of credit sales.
